Home Theater: some
home cinema enthusiasts go so far as to build a dedicated room in the home
for the theater. Such a room is often decorated to resemble an actual
cinema, with specialized furniture, movie posters, or a popcorn or snack
machine. These more advanced installations often include sophisticated
acoustic design elements, including "room-in-a-room" construction that
isolates sound and provides the potential for a nearly ideal listening
environment. These installations are often designated as "screening rooms"
to differentiate from simpler installations. A few home cinema setups even
have features that are not commonly found in commercial cinemas, such as
tactile sound. High-quality home cinemas are assembled from component pieces
purchased separately to provide the best combination of equipment for the
cost. It is possible to purchase home theater in a box kits that include a
set of speakers for surround sound, an amplifier/tuner for adjusting volume
and selecting video sources, and sometimes a DVD player. Though these kits
pale in comparison to a custom-built home cinema, they are inexpensive and
easy to set up; one needs only to add a television and some movies in order
to create a simple home theater. Because the difficulty of running long
cables through walls for surround sound inhibits some consumers, some home
cinemas includes wireless rear loudspeakers, with in-built amplifiers. |

TEAK
Latin name "Tectona
Grandis Linn". Teak or Golden Teak is the king of hardwoods and it's
one of the world's most valuable timbers, recognized for its durability
and stability. Teak is more durable than any other hardwood and has
unparalleled rich beauty. Teak can withstand all types of weather. Ancient
Burmese and Thai royalty considered teak to be a royal tree. It has been
the pillar of the shipbuilding industry for centuries. The decks of the
Titanic were covered in Teak, and the wood is as good today as the day she
sank on 1912. Teak is also used in the Middle East oil industry as one of
the very few timbers that can withstand the punishing heat of the desert
and will not readily catch fire. Teak can withstand harsh chemicals, and
is resistant to fungi, rot and termites. Unlike other woods, teak does not
turn black when in contact with metals. It looks best when applied
transparent and light colors...

Home Entertainment Center:
(or home entertainment console) is a piece of furniture seen in many homes
in North America, which houses major electronic items, such as a television
set, a VCR and/or DVD player, stereo components (such as an AM/FM tuner,
multi-disc compact disc changer, record player, one or more cassette players
and graphic equalizer), and cable or satellite television receivers.
Entertainment centers also feature high-fidelity speakers. Modern units
often have a set of home theater system-type speakers, to greatly enhance
the sound quality of the various stereo and television components. The audio
and video components have special connectors which are often hooked to a
dedicated box. The items are then plugged into an electrical outlet strip,
which sometimes has a surge protector. One can usually control each of the
components by using a universal remote control. The term home entertainment
center may also refer to the complete package – the electronic components
and the unit in which they are housed. The unit is often either an armoire
or a self-contained unit (usually of wood and glass); they often contain
dedicated areas (either drawers or other spaces) for storage of records,
videotapes, compact discs and/or DVD discs. In many homes, an entertainment
center is often placed in the living room, family room or recreation room.
Perhaps the first example of a built-in entertainment center was created by
Frank Lloyd Wright at his 1917 Hollyhock House in Los Angeles, California.
The term home entertainment center was widely used in the 1980s, but is
being replaced by terms such as home theater system. |
